Augie's De Lago
In 1978, I had just come back from two weeks in Mexico City having visited one of their famous restaurants named DeLago.
Two of my brothers asked me to help fund an addition to the existing building already established by brother George Werner.  Augie was the other brother who was going to operate the place on returning from his honeymoon to New York.  I lent the money, gave them the suggestion of Augie's DeLago, and also that Augie should call himself the "Big Kahuna."
Augie's DeLago was successful, selling more beer even than Pat O'Brien's in the French Quarter and grew to 3 stories over Lake Pontchartrain at West End.
This also became one of my part-time playgrounds.
